More about this artist…

The Dark Bunnies are Chris Cooling, Rob Gommerman and Forrest Nelson.

Chris Cooling

One time Canadian logger and fisherman, Cooling has been picking grooving folk and blues with various bands on the west coast of Canada, Montreal and Tokyo for the past 20 years. Presently playing guitar with Kev Gray and the Gravy Train after a trio stint with Mila and Geeks drummer Ajima, he is looking forward to performing on bass and guitar with the Dark Bunnies as well as joining in for some vocal duties.

Rob Gommerman

My name is Rob. I live in Tokyo. I play the drums.

Forrest Mitchell Nelson

Began at age 5 singing solos in the church choir in rural Mississippi. Influenced by gospel and blues and his years of formal voice training in church and university, Forrest sings with a strong soulful lyric baritone voice. By 1982, along with his high school friend, guitarist Izzy Goode and drummer Scortch Dearth, Forrest begins his first reach into bandom with the formation of Burning Flags. With many years of music training in Mississippi, Forrest joins Up With People giving him the chance to perform in 12 countries and in front of huge stadium crowds and television, thus thrusting him into the music professionalism he so sought after. Today, Forrest enjoys his life as a university professor in Japan and you can still see him play occasionally in Ebisu, Tokyo's What the Dickens and in the Metaverse.
