The Mootekkis, a 5 piece hard rock band, formed in Tokyo midway through 2008 and are 2 parts Western, 3 parts Eastern. Relying largely on their instruments and the linguistic-enhancing powers of beer to communicate, The Mootekkis have combined eastern excess with a wild-west mentality to create a menacing kind of rock.
They were Japanzine's nationwide Battle of the Bands winners in 2010 with their no holds barred rocker "Hey..What You Want?"" and closed the year with an appearance at Japan Music Week and an interstate gig headlining in Nagoya.
