---------------- ARTIST INFO ----------------------
Cavalier is an artist of many titles. “The Chief” has served his artistic stronghold community in every role from graphic designer to host to curator to brownie chef extraordinaire... not to mention being one power-house, MUST SEE emcee. Smoking Section writes of Cavalier‘s elusive, highly acclaimed independent release stating; "The Breaking” (featuring these download tracks) “is a deeply personal, disturbingly poetic album.
Growing up as a young cub in the Bronx in the 80s and 90s exposed this woman to a jambalaya of music, dancing and culture. And yet something was still missing, and the cub took upon herself a mission to create a new world music. Steadily honing her style in various jazz bars and clubs around New York, she has released various singles and EPs over the past few years. 2011 will see her return to Tokyo to perform during Japan Music Week - don't miss out!
Green Street is a hip-hop/jazz group, consisting of emcees A-live and Soupa and producer Renaissance, residing in Brooklyn, NY. By using everything from samples to live instrumentation, Green Street brings back the sound from the Native Toungues-era while still keeping it fresh and relevant for today’s audience.
In 2010, Green Street released their fourth project, Don’t Look Down. The album was featured in XXL Magazine, Vibe Magazine, Okayplayer, 2Dopeboyz, OnSmash, among other major media outlets.
