Welcome to Japan Music Week 2009
Japan Music Week this year is a ‘community’ style festival, showcasing the best emerging artists and new music, in every genre from hiphop, techno, rock and pop, to folk, classical and jazz. It will feature as many as 300 artists and DJs from dozens of countries and from cities around Japan.
We’ll do our best to make sure everyone enjoys JMW, so it can go on to become one of Japan’s (and Asia’s) biggest events in the international music industry calendar within the next five years.
With the JMW wristband on any evening during 9-15 Nov you’ll be able to follow our event guide’s maps to stroll around between multiple events and appreciate the best of Tokyo/International underground culture, and enjoy a musical tour of the city at the fraction of the normal cost. (Most of our events will be free to wristband holders. Others will be half-price or 20% off.)
